Delete your account and data

Delete in the app (immediately)

1. Open the Settings tab. It starts on Household, so switch to Account at the top.
2. Tap Delete account at the very bottom and confirm “Permanently delete account?” with Continue.
3. Confirm it’s you. Signed in with email and password: enter your password and tap Delete permanently. Signed in with Apple or Google: confirm in the Apple or Google window, and the deletion starts right away.

Your account and your data are deleted immediately and irreversibly, and the app signs you out.

Important: deleting your account doesn’t end an active Pro subscription, because it runs through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it there first, see Cancel contracts.

By email (without access to the app)

Write to support@tellerino.app with the subject “Delete account”. Include the email address you use to sign in to Tellerino. You’ll find it at the top of Settings → Account in the app.

If you signed in with Apple and hid your email address, it ends in @privaterelay.appleid.com. You can’t write from that address, so include it in your message. You can also find it in your iPhone’s settings under “Sign in with Apple”.

We then delete your account manually, usually within a few days.

What gets deleted

• Your user account with your email address and sign-in (for email accounts, including your password)
• Your profile with your name and the push tokens of your devices
• Your uploaded photos, including in shared recipes
• Your usage counters (for example for recipe recognitions) and your Pro status in the app
• Your subscription record at RevenueCat and your usage statistics at PostHog (the individual events there within a week)

What stays

• Your household’s recipes, shopping list and meal plan, as long as someone is still in it. Your name disappears from it. If you’re the last member, the whole household is deleted.
• Your purchases at Apple or Google: an active subscription keeps running there until you cancel it, and Apple and Google keep purchase records under their own rules (for example because of statutory retention obligations). This is outside our control and doesn’t affect your app data.
• Backup copies of our database: they expire after seven days at the latest.
• Crash reports at Sentry: they only contain your random user identifier and are deleted automatically after the service’s retention period.
